Trimont Area Wind Farm

Celebrate the power of cooperation as we join the local community to dedicate Trimont Area Wind Farm. Forty-three landowners in the area partnered with PPM Energy to build 67 wind turbines producing 100 megawatts of clean, renewable wind power.

Great River Energy purchases the electricity to provide the energy to its member electric cooperatives throughout Minnesota, helping Great River Energy meet the Minnesota Renewable Energy Objective, which states that Minnesota energy companies produce 10 percent of their energy from renewable sources by 2015.
